MORE CONTEST DETAILS
Contest runs from November 7 to December 12, 2011. The winners and their winning videos will be showcased at the CVRD Environment Commission meeting on December 15, 2011 at 7pm.
This youth video contest is sponsored by the Cowichan Valley Regional District Environmental Policy Division and its Environment Commission, which provides advice to The Regional District politicians about environmental matters.
The Commission and the Regional District just completed a whopping 226 page detailed science-based report on the state of the region, and we want to add to this knowledge base by giving children and young adults a chance to express your opinions about the state of Cowichan’s environment and how to protect it.
Information gathered in this contest will be used to help guide both the Commission and the Regional District in developing a plan that has your voice and ideas in it. We need to know what is important to you and how you think we should get there.
